Why watermark your photos?
Photos get screenshotted, reposted and shared far beyond your own profile. A small, tasteful watermark keeps your name attached to your work wherever it travels, turning reposts into free promotion. Photographers, artists, recipe creators, real-estate agents and small shops all use watermarks to protect and brand their images.
This tool watermarks in batches, so you can process an entire shoot in one go. It all happens in your browser — your photos are never uploaded, which matters when you are protecting unreleased work.
How to add a watermark to multiple photos
- Upload one or many photos at once.
- Type your watermark text (for example @yourhandle) and/or upload a logo — a transparent PNG looks best.
- Choose a position on the 3×3 grid, or tick Repeat diagonally for full-image protection.
- Set opacity, size, colour and shadow. Tap the preview to cycle through your photos.
- Download all — a single JPG or a ZIP for batches.
Choosing the right watermark style
For social media, a corner watermark at 50–70% opacity is the best balance: it credits you without distracting from the image. For previews you send to clients or post before a sale, a diagonal repeated watermark makes it much harder to crop out or reuse without permission.
White text with a soft shadow works on almost any photo. If your images are very light, switch to a dark colour. Keep the size around 4–6% so it is readable on a phone without overwhelming the picture.
Watermark best practices
- Use your handle, not just a logo. People can search a handle; they can’t search a symbol.
- Avoid busy areas. Place the mark where it won’t cover faces or the product.
- Be consistent. Same position and style on every post builds recognition.
- Keep originals. Always store an un-watermarked master copy.
